Great article from the Conversation on advances in Quantum Computing…..Go Team Australia!!
I find this type of stuff extremely interesting.
I hope you do too.
Howdy Everyone,
I just wanted to publicize this. I think this should be mandatory viewing for every single person.
This is Robert’s blog which contains a plethora of interesting reading.
I hope you find this as interesting as I did and here is a quotable quote “We make the rules of the economy – and we have the power to change those rules.” – Robert Reich
Enjoy the epiphany

My previous post of watching glaciers ‘calving’ made me think of this classic song by James Reyne.
Thanks to a work colleague for pointing this great video out.
The awesome power of climate change in a 5 minute video!
I found this on Gizmodo and thought it too good not to share 🙂
Happy Friday
G’day Everyone,
I wanted to add some links that I have discovered this week…I hope you find them as interesting as I did.
The state of Science in Australia
Synergy in technology solutions (solving multiple issues with the one idea)
Follow the Money. Â A phrase I have lifted from the ‘Hungry Beast‘ previously aired on the ABC. Â In this case it is referencing an article from the Tax Justice Network (TJN).
Enjoy your weekends people
Warm Regards

Hi All,
So as a self proclaimed IT expert, I often utilise resources on the web to increase my understanding of emerging technologies and trends and to help me solve technical issues that present themselves during the course of a normal working day. I want to share some of the sites I regularly use to find information on particular issues.
Whilst some of these are obvious, well to me anyway, others are definitely targeting the more advanced user. But all are great resources to help with increasing my understanding of IT. This is by no means and exhaustive list and I welcome any and all comments and feedback on what others use to help them in their work lives.
So first up are forums and news…..
Then vendor specific……
Next comes general news sites……
Of course, there are these great resources as well….always helpful if you need a video ‘walk-through’ or the evolution on a particular product or technology.
And perhaps the most useful of all for Australians is Whirlpool
Please feel free to add your own sites and forums and I will update this page as I find new and valuable web resources to help get stuff done! Even as I write this there are many more that spring to mind….never forget Google, a well structured search query can help find just the answer you need. Google even provide tips.
Happy Researching
Kim
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to try and help some people out there on the internet with their technical conundrums.
So this is a call to anyone who would like some assistance of a technical nature. I am well versed in all aspects of IT and if I don’t know the answer I know how to research and find you one!
So don’t delay, I want to expand my blog and site and am offering this as a totally free service.
To take advantage, just join my site and send me an email. Go on do it! I know everyone likes something for free!
Hope to hear from you soon
Regards
Kim
Hello everyone,
I read this informative article today and simply had to share.
I find it amazing that this doesn’t get more media attention in the wider community as the on-costs of obesity to a society are well understood in terms of the increased risk of medical conditions and the burden on the economy more generally of an overweight population.
I for one hope that the proposed new food labeling system can make it through the Parliament and we start to treat ‘dangerous’ foodstuff’s with the same sort of checks and balances as cigarettes and alcohol.
Basically a plea for common sense! Along those lines, I would also say the ‘The Checkout‘ on ABC should be required viewing for each and every Australian. Just so that you can remind yourself that there are people out there that understand this type of hypocrisy.
